What is High-Speed Balancing?

If your vehicle is vibrating at certain speeds, usually between 50 and 70 mph, chances are your wheels are out of balance. It's usually a very simple operation and is done any time a tire is attached to a wheel.

Tires and wheels go out of balance as they wear. It's regular maintenance and we recommend checking wheel balance every 15,000 miles.

Because no wheel or tire is perfect, it's a precise operation to make sure the wheel doesn't vibrate like a bent lawnmower blade and a dynamic balancing machine allows us to place a few ounces of weight on the wheel (look for the wheel weights that are attached to your wheels. Some weights clip on and others need to applied with tape) to eliminate the sideways and wheel hops shimmy.

What is Road-Force Balancing?

It's possible that normal wheel balance won't fix a shake. Tires have uniformity issues and can only be felt while driving with a load on the tire. Our DSP9700 uses a roller that applies up to 600lbs of force to simulate the condition and provides precise measurements of the wheel and tire's uniformity.

It's a rare thing that we can't fix a tire or wheel combination, and replacement is necessary.
