Wheel Alignment is often confused with Wheel Balancing and the two really have nothing to do with each other, except for the fact that they affect ride and handling.  If a wheel is out of balance, it will cause a vibration at highway speeds that can be felt in the steering wheel and/or the seat.  If the alignment is out, it can cause excessive tire wear, steering/handling problems and reduced fuel economy.

With today's cars, wheel alignment is a very precise operation. In most cases a four-wheel alignment is needed and we use the latest in digital alignment technology by Hunter Engineering to do this.

We perform over 1000 wheel alignments a year at Kenwood Tire and we recommend having your alignment checked every 15,000 miles, or when new tires are installed.  We road test every vehicle and inspect the steering and suspension system as part of our alignment service. and this allows us to spot worn parts before they cause costly problems.

PS. If you own a vehicle made after 1975, don’t be fooled by claims of “FREE Front-End Alignments” from our competitors. On today’s automobiles, no alignment takes 10 minutes and the steering and suspension components that we inspect as part of our alignment service are not "extra's" or "add-on's", but critical safety items that need to be checked.
